| USB Scanner Problem This problem concerns an Acerscan 310U scanner which I got a couple of years ago. I only used it occasionally and it always worked perfect, then one day I went to use it and whenever I went to the scanning program, I kept getting two error messages: the first was "ASPI32.DLL for windows is not installed" and the second was "USB device not found". The scanner was tested on another computer and it worked fine. I don't remember when it stopped working on my machine, but it could have been after adding a firewire (ADS Pyro BasicDV) card to my computer. I should also note that my hard drive has been reformatted a couple of times (due to viruses) and the scanner still will not work. Is there some kind of device compatibility problem that I can resolve? I really need to get the scanner working, but I cannot sacrifice my DV card because it is far too useful. BTW I am using Win98 operating system, and my machine itself uses an MSI 394T Pro motherboard. Any help would be appreciated. |
