on it but I was having problems with the setup files so I got some disketter
with win95 ver3.1 and thought I would install it over the older one. I did
this and now it won't boot. i can't even access DOS . Please help!!!!

Re: Boot help needed

Start with a clean installation of the operating system. Starting with a
FULL format of the hard drive. Once the hard drive is clean then install
your OS of
choice.Upgrading older versions of Microsoft operating systems don't upgrade
very will from one to the another. So in my opinion I would NOT perform any
upgrades of OS's at all.

You have corrupted the win boot loader file when you attempted to upgrade to
a newer version of win95. This is common with upgrading older Microsoft
operating systems. Do the above and you'll be fine.
