Cleaning "dirty" HD

Somehow I caught a virus from cdnow's website while trying to sample a
song. I can't boot to the HD to try to clean it up. How do I go about
it? Thanks. Also it's an 80 gig only showing 33 gigs. Can that be
fixed too? TYVM.
