| Getting rid of network login prompt at startup Hi, I have a second hand laptop that keeps prompting me for a network login at startup. I just escape past it, but it's very annoying. I've set the computer to Windows Login and this still happens. It's Win 98. Is there a registry key that needs to be removed? Thanks, Sheila |

| Re: Getting rid of network login prompt at startup Go to your network setting in control panel and remove "Microsoft Family Logon". With that option installed you are always prompted for a password. So, just remove it. ~matt Unrelated link: :-) http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o.../releases/0.8/ "Sheila" <sbenware@comcast.net> wrote in message news:dC6Yb.44988$uV3.88182@attbi_s51... > Hi, > > I have a second hand laptop that keeps prompting me for a network login at > startup. | Re: Getting rid of network login prompt at startup You have this ass-around. Set to M$ family logon then search for and delete *.pwl delete them all. then on next password propmt do not enter a password and it will not retun.
