Moving from Lotus SmartSuite to MS Works Suite 2004

I should be grateful to know if it is possible to transfer my Lotus
WordPro files into MS Word. I have many WordPro documents that I do
not want to lose and I do not particularly want to keep SmartSuite
installed just for viewing those documents while using Word for new
documents.

I see that there is an Import/Export facility in WordPro but I am not
clear on how to carry out this operation so that the documents will
transfer to Word correctly.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I don't know if the import/export option will not work, you can always do a
copy and paste action. It may be kind of time consuming, but it will work.

Re: Moving from Lotus SmartSuite to MS Works Suite 2004

Microsoft Word will read your work from Lotus without any problems.
Microsoft Works will not. If you want Microsoft Works to read your
Lotus documents resave your documents as in RTF format then you can
open them with any word processor.
