| Help required copying hard drive! Hi , this one is not as straight forward as it sounds, I have a Sony HAR LH500 harddrive audio recorder, it contains a standerd dvd rom for the cd and from what I can make out, a seagate 80 gb hard drive. It has taken me months to load the drive with 900 albums of music and I am a bit concerned that if the drive packs up, then I will loose the lot. I placed the drive into a standerd PC but it was not seen in (my computer) but it was seen when booting up. I looked at the drive using FDisk and that came up with no partitions defined. I have looked in the service manual but it gives no info regarding the details of this drive. I would like to be able to copy the drive directly bit for bit sector by sector and track by track would this be possible and if so what will I need to do this. I have a spare 80 gb drive that can be used . (also a Seagate) regards Silversounds |
