Re: New XP

I think there is a Wizard with XP that will walk you thru the process to
transfer your files to the new OS. You may have some problems with old
printers, scanners, etc, things that are not XP compliant. With some you
can update the drivers but you may have to buy some new accessories to work
with XP.

Backup all of your irreplaceable data reformat the hard drive and start over
with a clean installation of XP. A clean installation on a formatted hard drive
is the ideal scenario as this will sidestep problems with legacy hardware and
software but you should tread carefully if you use or depend on software and
peripherals more than two or three years old.

Re: New XP

It will upgrade but always remember a clean install is more stable.
