AMD CPU Cooler Noise?

I have an AMD Athlon 1700+ system. I find the noise level a bit high & am
considering either changing the PS or CPU fan to reduce noise level. What do
you recommend as first fix? I tried stopping the CPU fan momentarily w/ the
case open & find the noise level drop significantly. I am unable to do the
same w/ the PS fan.

What other recommendation do you have?

Cheers, Mike

Re: AMD CPU Cooler Noise?

Replace both fans or if you feel capable, disassemble them, wash the
blades and relube the bearings.
