need advice for upgrading my CD-ROM into a DVD-ROM drive

I am planning to upgrade my CD-ROM drive into a DVD-ROM drive for my
computer. I have a computer with these specifications:

- Intel Pentium 4 at 1.4GHz
- 256 MB RDRAM
- 30GB Hard Drive
- 52X CD-ROM
- 48x write/12x re-write/50x read CD writer
- Nvidia RIVA TNT2 Model 64 Video Card at 32MB
- Windows XP Professional

The reason that I'm doing this because, I want to watch DVD movies on my
computer. Does anyone know which DVD-ROM drive they suggest? If in most
cases, most DVD-ROM drives include software. If it doesn't, which software
program do you suggest? I need to get a DVD player program, that is free and
stable. Also, how about the video card and the CPU that I have? Do I need to
upgrade it as well?

If you have any questions, comments and/or suggestions, please do not
hesistate to do so. Thank you.

Simon

I highly recommend a lite-on DVD drive as they are cheap yet really
good. You can get one for 31.99 at www.newegg.com

Here:
