Sending Data

When online my machime indicates that it is sending vast amounts of data.
For instance I have currently recieved 680K of data but sent over 10Mb!!! I
don't know what is being sent or where. How do I stop this and how do I find
out where it is going?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Try a virus scan and then run ad-aware from lavasoft.de
