| sending control characters to remote hosts by telnet. specifically, I need to send "^d" to a unix host, but my terminal reads this as "end of transmission" and immediately disconnects me. I'm sure there must be a way to toggle keyboard input:i.e., keep the local terminal emulator from reading and acting on it, and instead, transmitting it to the process running on the remote host, but I don't know it, and I can't find any documentation on it. any help will be greatly appreciated. |
