SNMP (or other) access to port duplex (half/full) value?

I am trying to remotely detect the duplex (half/full) setting of end
devices and of switch/routers etc. My strong preference is to use
SNMP to read this value but I have not found it in any MIB. I suspect
it is in the switch MIB but that does not help with end devices
connected to non-managed swithes. Anybody got any tricks up their
sleeve on this?

Thanks
Merrill
