| Server permissions Hi, would be very gratefull if someone could help me with this techo question! I am running Windows 2003 server as a file server, not domain controller, and I cant get the bloody thing to allow users to read and write files. If I right click the folder and untick "Read Only" click OK, when I go back in its ticked again. Is there some sort of global security policy that has to be set? |

As a note, there really is no such thing as a domain controller within the context of a MS2x server. Presuming AD, access permissions may be set specifically to any user. | Re: Server permissions go into computer management, open users and groups, click on the user you want to give permissions(r. click i believe) and authorize away. or you can search for the user in active directory , and do it that way. too tired to bring it up and remember it. if it doesn't work, post again and i'll do it.
