Email retrieval

Is there any way to retrieve old email that has been deleted from the
ISP's server? I saw on a cop show where old email was retrieved from
the Net because, as the police computer expert said, "it never
disappears. It's still pinging around out there and the trick is to
find it."

I have some old sent email that I'd like to get back and print that I
lost when my ISP account got screwed up. If you know how to do it,
please let me know by email agkistrodon@mindspring.com and/or
squalus@scientist.com.

Jim

If you have some really good connections to Homeland Defense you may be
able to get them to pull it up from their archives as long as you can
provide dates and times the emails were sent. Yes there are a few places
where net traffic is archived for later exploration but these places are
not advertised for good reasons.

Are you sure the mail isn't still on your system? If it has positively
been removed from your system and your ISP has dumped it, then you are
surely SOL.
