You might try a little systematic troubleshooting.. Check your event viewer to see what is actually causing the problem. Once you have a good idea of what is happening, try posting to the Xp newsgroup, "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general". |

| Re: Blue screen of death Go to start/mycomputer/properties/advanced/startup & recovery/settings/and uncheck automaticaly restart. Then you should be able to get a handle on what your problem is in "event viewer" edd wrote: > > I have been a happy user of windows xp pro for some time now, oor > rather i was untill i had broadband fitted. | Re: Blue screen of death Sounds symptomatic of the Blaster worm. If you're not patched, you may have been infected as soon as you connected to the Internet. Go here to see all the latest security threats: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/. Go here (http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/security/default.asp) to check for the latest updates and patches. Then go here (http://securityresponse.symantec.com...oval.tool.html) to download and use Symantec's Blaster Removal Tool (it's free). Hopefully I'm wrong, but if I'm not and you're infected, there's hope. Good luck! > edd wrote: > > > > I have been a happy user of windows xp pro for some time now, oor > > rather i was untill i had broadband fitted.
