| Linux and wine Hi I am running Mandrake Linux 9.1 and I want to set up wine. I'm not looking to get a lot out of it, its basically an educational experience. being that i have never touched a linux machine until 2 days ago I dont know a lot about it.. bet heres my situation I downloaded wine-20030911 when i went to ./configure it i got a mesage that told me I needed a package called bison so i got bison-1.875 i went to run ./configure again on wine and it said i needed a lex program or something.. and it said to get the "flex" package so i got on sourceforge.net and got flex-2.5.31 i ran ./configure again. It worked this time, it took a while to do its thing then i ran "make install" that took even longer (its like a 400MB file) so now i'm stuck at this point.. how do i run it or activate it or whatever? i want to run simple windows programs on linux just to see if wine works and to see what i can get out of it.. thanks for reading |
