Boot Screen When I attempt to start my computer I get the message "monitor is in power save mode - activate using pc". I must continually (5 or 6 times) rehit the power button before it boots normally and windows loads up. Running Athlon XP 2000 with Windows XP. Any suggestions, help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Boot Screen I must continually (5 or 6 times) rehit the power button before it boots normally Which power button do you press ??? The power button on the monitor or the one on the computer???? Have a gander at your power settings in control panel, change the setting for your monitor to "never" problem should be solved.

Re: Boot Screen You can try setting your power options in control panel to never, but your monitor is not getting the video signal from the card correctly. Check your cabling. Check your monitor's user manual for information. You didn't give any specifics so its hard to determine. It could be the power saving function of the monitor not controllable by windows. mh ps- i get a similiar message on my dell 17" fpd... Thanks Did the "control panel to never" routine and all cables are secure. Interesting you mention the same problem on your 17" dell. My problem is with a 19" dell (P991).
