| destop emulaion on PDA Hi Group, I have a wireless home network which consists of 2 pda's, 3 laptop's and a desktop machine. The desktop machine controlls music in a home theatre which is split out throughout the house to in-wall speakers. I would like to use a PC-anywhere type program or terminal services to emulate the desktop of the desktop machine on my PDA so I can controll the music from anywhere in the house. I tried terminal services but it didn't seem to work to well, I had some logon issues, etc.... Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank-you Rich |

Would you care to explain -why- you think a "home theater" (as you claim to own) -needs- a "desktop machine"? For that matter, why use a "PDA" as a Remote?? You write for "reccommendations"..; well, I've several!: * |

| Re: destop emulaion on PDA Sounds like a valid question to me. Home theater PC's have the ability to store thousands of MP3's and double as a regular PC, among other things. I don't really have an answer for you Rich, but there is a new Viewsonic touch screen monitor that connects wirelessly to your desktop to remotely control it, though it is pricey (999.99 for a 10 inch screen). Why don't you use a laptop to do what you want wirelessly? I guess its much more to carry around. -- Night_Seer "Ben There" <benthere@donethat.invalid> wrote in message news:riadnZj5f7DSdMuiXTWJjA@comcast.com... > "Rich" <rgsimm@telus.net> wrote in message > news:Bn80b.77155$tQ2.1994670@news1.telusplanet.net ... > > Hi Group, > > > > I have a wireless home network which consists of 2 pda's, 3 laptop's and a > > desktop machine.
