| How to install a second PC fan? I've searched all over the Internet but can't find information on this topic. I have a second fan from an older computer that I want to transfer to my new one. This fan has already been removed. I managed that far on my own, but where do I connect the old fan (two years old) on the new motherboard? I have a P4C800-E Dlx. Thanks very much. |

| Re: How to install a second PC fan? Your going to need your Motherboard documentation to find out where to connect it. You can always get a pass-through power connector to connect to one of your regular power connectors. It basically gives you a plug that hooks to one of the regular hard drive connectors, and adds a small 4 pin connector to it. and the regular connector just passes through, and can still be used. Here is an example of what I mean: http://www.endpcnoise.com/cgi-bin/e/3-PINto4-PIN.html Any computer place worth its salt should carry these. -- Night_Seer "MiniMe" <minime@evil.org> wrote in message news:I7iVa.108510$zwL.36851@news04.bloor.is.net.ca ble.rogers.com... > I've searched all over the Internet but can't find information on this > topic. | Re: How to install a second PC fan? Thanks. However, my problem is that I ran out of connectors. All of my fans are 3-pin. Are there connectors "extension bars" that I can get. My fan is installed in my system but not hooked up because there's no connector to connect it to. | Re: How to install a second PC fan? That's what is great about these pass-through connectors. You take out one of your cd-rom connectors or hard drive connectors, put one of these suckers in there, and you can still hook up your hard drive or cd-rom, you just now have an extra fan connector. Its a pass-through, because it doesn't take away any of your connectors, just adds an extra fan connector, get it? -- Night_Seer "MiniMe" <minime@small.org> wrote in message news:y_lWa.15559$4UE.1203@news01.bloor.is.net.cabl e.rogers.com... > Thanks. | Re: How to install a second PC fan? Yes, I see what you mean. I didn't think of using the other connectors but the fan's. Thanks a lot.
