384MB vs. 512MB MEMORY????

Is there a big difference between 384MB and 512 MB for a computer with a
pentium 4 prosessor??

What version of Windows are you running?
Windows XP will work quite nicely on 512mb or more. Windows 9x family wont
run much better and may infact have a negative influence.
Dont know about Linux or other OS's
