| Re: HTML >What next, are you going to give Tiger Woods golf lessons? Learn the >facts before you try to correct somebody. Are you sure you have all the facts here? HTML adds to the size of the file. Each character in a file is equal to a byte so if your adding tags your adding to your file size. Its true that just a few tags wont add too much to the file sizes of each individual message but it starts getting noticable when you have thousands of messages. There are newsgroup readers that do not read HTML. Try using something like pine or mutt for linux to see what I'm talking about. Why are you trying to go against what people have been doing for years? Nothing is more annoying than reading through a bunch of newsgroup posts and coming across one with the color scheme from your post. That yellow on black is painful. Its better to have consistency throughout then a few colorful posts. Brian |
