I'm trying to install a new ATI Radeon 7000 in my wifes computer so she can run dual montiors but neither screen comes on even after installing the latest driver updates. I stuck it in my old Dell and it worked without even installing any drivers and both my montiors came on(they were in a clone mode but I could have changed that), I just wanted to see if it worked. We both have XP Home, She has 512mb DDR SDRAM (I know it's not a lot but it only requires 128mb),I have 2gb DDR Ram (would the difference in the kind of memory have anything to do with it)? She has a 2.80 Intel celeron processor, I have a Intel P4 2.66 processor. I've downloaded all the latest updates from microsoft for XP so shes good to go there. It said in the manual if I have any on-board graphics capability I may need to disable it on the motherboard. Does that mean to go to the device manager and disable the old device? If so will that shut down the montior so I can't see anything to install the new card? It also says I may need to reconfigure my OS to use the standard display driver (VGA) supplied with my OS. How would I do that? Can anybody please help? Thank You, Advenger
