Question Memory and disk defrag

I added 2gb to my dell inspiron1505. when I tried to defrag drive c the message on the attachment popped up. I was thinking adding memory would alleviate that problem.

Operating system is windows xp professional.

This is my first attempt at doing anything techinical. Any thoughts or advices is greatly appreciated.
