hey there i have a question for u i just had to do a system recovery by pressing (F10) on my pc i have a HP but it is running on windows XP the computer went corrupted on me when i turned it on and i was wondring is all my files lost or they some where on the computer need hlep quic thank's

You can reinstall new Operating system to your computer without formating it in order for your files to be safe and still available.

If you have a genuine windows cd with you, you can repair your operating system using that disk.

Insert your XP cd and boot it. After loading necessary files, windows will search for previous windows installation. I it has found any, enable repair for that copy of windows. If none, install a fresh copy but do not format the current partition and opt for "Leave cureent format setting". Then install a fresh windows xp OS. After that you will recover everything that wad save on hard disk, but not necessarily all the files in the My Documents folder of previous Windows XP Operating System.
