Which Video Card should I buy?

I want to purchase a new video card for my PC, but I'm unsure as to which type would be best for me. The video card I have now came with my PC and isn't supported by a few of my games, nor does it run very well. So I want something that will give me excellent performance.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

Oh yes, you'll have to forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section. I haven't been here long enough to know where to post this kind of question.

Here's my current specs if any of you need to know. If you need more info, just ask.

Manufacturer: HP
Model: a6130n
OS: Vista Home Premium
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 5000+ 2.60 GHz
Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB
System Type: 32-bit OS
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

*Keep in mind I was thinking of getting something in the GeForce 8000 series, but if you think the 9000 series would be better that's fine

Re: Which Video Card should I buy?

The GPU is definitely the weak point in your system. Some of the 9000 series cards are renumbered 8000 cards and so watch very carefully.

If money is no expense then go for the top card in the 8000 series.

GeForce 8 Series

Have fun !

Re: Which Video Card should I buy?

I'll recommend you to use Diamond ATI Radeon™ HD 4650 PCIE 1024MB GDDR2 Video Card because it is more compatible with AMD processors. This video card has the specifications below.

Interface : PCI Express x16
Clock : 600 MHZ
MEM Clock : 500 MHz
MEM Size : 1024MB
MEM Configuration : 64Mx16
MEM Type : GDDR2
