Does anyone can help me to solve this problem?

Hi

I come from Taiwan, and my English is not good....
I hope everyone can understand my question as below:

I bought one desktop of SONY Vaio VGC-LS21N from retail store last week.
Sony VGC-LS21N

Due to personal necessary. I need to downgrade operation system from Vista Business to Windows XP Pro.
(The original OS installed is Vista).

I tried to collect all of the drivers for XP from web. Everything is almost done. There's only one unknown device I can not install it normally.
The message as below photo I attached.

I also contacted with Sony. Unfortunately, they could not offer me any related solution.
Because they told me there's no any XP driver for this model.

Does anyone can help me to solve this question? any better suggestion, I will be very appreciated.

Thanks lot

Hi. :) My question is this. Do you have the XP Pro CD? I've heard of a lot of users having to downgrade from Vista due to the fact that hardware, software and drivers are not currently supporting this application as of yet. What I would suggest is if you have the XP Pro CD, which should automatically contain the drivers you need, to do a fresh install of XP Pro.

I understand what the Manufacturer of the hardware stated, but they aren't Microsoft. Microsoft has built in generic drivers for hardware. I would suggest you using control panel, and the add hardware feature, but since you are doing a rollback and manually installing the components of the Operating System, it just seems like it would be much easier and less time consuming to just wipe everything clean and do a fresh install, which is why I suggested it before anything else. Now, if this doesn't resolve your issue, do a search on the product, i.e. go to their website and see if you can download any drivers. But, the XP Pro CD should hopefully be of some help. Also, how old is the hardware you are trying to install? If it's too old then XP won't have a driver, which would be why the manufacturer also doesn't have a driver. You can also type in the model of the audio device you are trying to install + driver and see if you can pull it up that way. That's actually an easier way of pulling up the driver. If that fails, install XP Pro from CD. Let me know if this helps.
