After watching students use notebooks to complete assignments, there are several key elements to a good lesson plan. First, the teacher must make sure each student has the skills to complete a good Internet search. Second, the student must be able to evaluate the sources found during the search. Third, the student must be able to summarize the work. The third element is the most difficult. Many students want to copy/paste from a website. Therefore, the teacher best serves all students by suggesting key sites and providing exercises for students to practice summarizing readings.

As more schools implement Tablet PCs into their classroom, the spread of good lesson plans will help promote the technology. What is your favorite lesson plan?
