In the everyday life of today’s high school student, the pressures and expectations of our competitive society can quickly become overwhelming. High-stakes tests like the SAT, ACT, and state proficiency exams; upcoming college applications; and résumé building are stressors ever present within the minds of most students. While keeping in mind the obstacles that they are likely to encounter, we as educators must help all students to remain on task. We must give them every chance to do so by providing them with the means to make it possible.
