| Singapore students trade in books for tablet PCs ALL 355 Secondary One students at Crescent Girls' School have traded in pens, textbooks and paper for spiffy new tablet PCs. For the next four years, they will study and do homework and assessment papers on the PCs, which come loaded with digital textbooks, multimedia learning tools and note-taking software. Although schools have tried tablet PCs before, the girls may be among the first students to own the devices, one of the most sophisticated and expensive computing tools available today.
