Hi,

I have been using a Mac g4 800 Quicksilver for the past four years
editing video and I am considering a CPU upgrade to 1.6 GHz --
Powerlogix or FastMac.

That would run me about 300 usd. On the other hand there are used
powermac G5's on the market for $800 to $1500. I am reluctant to spend
that much on system that has been superceded by the Intel Mac

I would love to keep the G4 going for two more years.

Anyone out there had experience with a cpu upgrade. Better to spend the
extra several hundred or stay with the G4?
