Any iDisk alternatives?

I'd like to use Apple's iDisk but the cost is a bit steep. I have an
unlimited storage account on an ftp server and would like to use that as
an alternative. Does anyone know if there is some software that can do
ftp transfers as conveniently as you can drag and drop files in iDisk?

I've seen something called Spymac.com which seems to do what I want for
$25 per year but the name doesn't really inpsire confidence. Has anyone
used their service?

Peter

SpyMac should be ok. The name derives from the fact that they are an
Apple rumor site.

You could try Fetch:

http://www.fetchsoftworks.com/

In the old days, Fetch (developed at Dartmouth U., I think) was the standard
Mac ftp program. Now it's gone commercial, like nearly everything, but it
should do what you want and $25 (one time) isn't bad.

I've never done drag and drop with iDisk but the ftp program I use is
"Transmit" by Panic and this is most excellent drag and drop ftp
program I find.

I've used it for some years.
