Best AUTOPOSTER/newsreader for Mac?

What is the best newsgroups auto-poster for Mac? Is there a better

Osiris is the best that is readily available. It uses Thoth to actually post
the files.

Unison does batch posts but is still in infancy. If you stumble upon
CocoaNewPost run away from it as fast as you can.

There is no such thing as a Mac equivalent to POWER-POST (sp?).

While the site overall concerns audio binaries on USENET you'd probably find
the linked section below fairly relevant.

I posted this in another thread in the comp.sys.mac.system group for
the *ix cmd-line UseNet tools I use on Terminal sessions:

>>>>

For uploading files etc., I use
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/yencee/> but be sure to get patches at
the "Patch Tracking System" link there (it prevents a name clash with
another yenc-like project at Sourceforge). I don't see this project
listed at fink or darwinports, but it's extremely easy to compile &
install by hand, but again be sure to get the patches. It needs the
Perl system which later versions of OSX will have already installed for
you. And I can show you some examples in case you want to upload a
slew of files like I do elsewhere on UseNet. :)
<<<<

What "I can show you" include some very simple shell scripts for
rar'ing and par2'ing using the official *ix cmd-line tools, most of
which I build myself from source, no GUI overhead, very fast, does
exactly what I need, is closest to the way UseNet posts should work for
cross-platform compatibility, etc. And I've been posting big files
(into the multi-gigabytes) this way for at least 18 months with no
complaints from those "other" platforms. All the various
applescripting-type stuff took way too long because of the overhead
(sorry squid & Osiris <g>), and Unison/Thoth/etc. still can't let me
tweak settings easily like the "real" tools are designed to do. Plus
we've fixed some known common yenc conversion problems in the
above-mentioned project, and can do so again in a hurry if needed,
instead of waiting how-long for Mac developers to fix 'em, and the
various applescript-based posters usually *cannot* fix these kinds of
bugs at all or even bypass/work-around them (the bugs are usually
inside the apps with which they "tell" what to do). That's the beauty
of open source, see... ;)

Oh well... I hope this helps.

Yeah. Right. We're going to tell someone who crossposts between
comp.sys.mac and comp.sys.mac.system how to autopost.

Simon.
