You can open Clarisworks files with Appleworks on OSX without going to classic. You may not have the driver installed for your printer in OS 9. -- http://bergenbulldogradio.blogspot.com/ |

Appleworks was an Apple II program. When you say "I cannot find a Chooser," are you saying that the Chooser does not appear under the Classic Apple menu, or are you saying that your printer does not appear in the Chooser dialog? |

If it does not then your not gonna be able to print the Claris documernt. If it does then check to see if it appears in the Chooser after you open a classic program. The Chooser should be under the Apple Menu. After selecting Chooser you need to select the printer you want to use. if your printer does not appear in the Chooser Menu then the drivers need to be installed in the classic system for it to work. To do this, select preferences in OSX and select start up disk. Choose OS 9.2 classic as the start up and reboot. Once you're in OS 9.2 you can then install the printer software that came with your printer. Once your printer appears in the chooser in Classic then you can select OSX as the start up disk in the Control Panels menu of Classic and reboot back into OSX. When everything is back up and running the printer should work. Steve -- To e-mail me, remove NO SPAM from the address. |
