I just installed a Seagate Momentus 5400RPM ATA-100 drive in my Powerbook.
I spent a great deal of time trying to find a drive larger than the 160GBs
of this drive and failed.

If Serial ATA (SATA) is an option, Seagate has just released the Momentus
7200 -- a 7200 RPM 160GB 2.5" SATA drive.

Ah, but some are thicker than others. Then there are power
requirements as well :-)

Hitachi/IBM and Seagate always come out on top in reliability surveys.
Seagate has the best data density technology and so they usually have
the highest maximum size. Size is determined by data density and # of
platters. I don't think any laptop drives have more than 3 platters, so
the big issue is data density.
