An Automount question

Iım using a G4 mirror front tower running OS 10.3.9.
I have an extra 80 gig hard drive that is used for backup of systems,
data files and applications. I want to stop this hard drive from
mounting at startup, but retain the ability to mount the volume when I
need it.

In OS 9 it was done by unchecking the ³Automount at startup² box of the
Drive Setup application. I can not find the same choice in OSX?

"Automount" doesn't yield anything in Mac Help.
