My wife can't run iTunes!

Our computer has three users. I and my son can run iTunes fine. But when my
wife logs in and tries to run it, I get 1) a Software License Agreement
screen (agree/disagree), followed by a notice that "The folder iTunes is on
a locked disk, or you do not have write permissions for this folder".

I've tried changing the permissions, on both iTunes itself and on her iTunes
folder, and it has no effect--I even made my wife the "owner" of iTunes. I
tried using a utility called BatChmod, same result. This only happens with
iTunes, no other apps.

I mean, c'mon!

Clue, anyone?

Jim from Berkeley

1) Run Disk Utility and do Repair Permissions on your boot drive.
2) Check *her* iTunes folder in ~/Library then in her home directory or
where-ever you've got iTunes configured to store its files.
3) Delete her iTunes preferences files in
~/Library/Preference/com.apple.iTunes.* and let iTunes recreate them.
