Is there a plugin in available for iPhoto which lets you email photos
using a gmail account straight out of iPhoto. Similar to what Picasa
can do on the PC/Windows platform?

Thanks, I was unaware until now that gmail's POP access also included an
SMTP host for sending mail from an external application.
