Hello all,

I'm a new Mac owner after buying someones used Dual G4 that came from an
office. When I purchased it, the system came without a hard drive because
the office wanted to remove it to ensure all business data remained secure.
Anyway someone had given me a OSX 10.2 cd and I wanted to go about
installing it on this system. I installed a Maxtor 80gb ATA100 (master
jumper setting) drive. When I started the G4, it went right to a white
screen, and stayed there. It attempted to read the cd but nothing happened.

Being that I've been a guru in the PC world for years, I checked all the
normal items but I still am wondering if it's a hardware problem or cd
problem.
