| moving everything to a new machine I am replacing my G3 iMac running OS10.3.9 with a G5 iMac running OS 10.4. Q1: Is it better to install new software (Mozilla e.g.) and just copy in the Preferences folders, or should I transer the application and the preferences....(or does it not matter?) Q2: Is the copy protection of purchased iTunes music going to cause me problems? I am hoping I can just delete the bundled iTunes ("rm itunes.app" ought to work in Terminal) and then copy my iTunes version over. all advice appreciated, GW |

Then quit. At that point a new folder was created in the Library for it. In a sub directory of that, I copied in everything from my G3 via a USB flash drive. Works like old!!
