PowerMac w/ a PC monitor?

I've asked this question before a while back, but can't remember the
details of the answer.
I'm getting an older powermac and only have monitors from my PCs and
want to use one of those with it.
I think I need some type of adapter to do this, is that correct? and
if so, can anyone tell me which one I need?
thanks.
