| Safari either crashes or hangs I'm not sure if I have a setup problem or if there's something I need to do with Safari. Invariably I'll have several tabs open and then I'll go try to do something with Safari and I'll get rainbow "pinwheel." Sometimes after a time it will go away and other times Safari just stops working and I'll have to do a force quit. Other times I'll be doing something like going to another site when all of a sudden Safari will just crash and burn. I don't have a clue what could be causing this behaviour. Anyone got a clue? - - |

What do you mean by several tabs.\??? -- Would thou choose to meet a rat eating dragon, or a dragon, eating rat? The answer of: I am somewhere in the middle. |

I have Safari set to open a new tab and this will happen if I receive a link in email or a link that someone sends me in iChat or similarl situations. I find that if I have a lot of tabs open the browser will become sluggish and eventually give me the rainbow pinwheel and then crash. I'm not sure if it's due to multiple tabs being open or something else is going on. - - |

I see now, interesting way of setting up the browser, maybe a bit like having multiple windows open,....how much ram could an issue especially if the links contain scripting thats using large amounts of system resources. I find the browsers (any) will freeze or in this case start the ball rolling :) if the contain alot of stuff for the browser to handle. One reason I don't like poorly constructed flash sites. -- Would thou choose to meet a rat eating dragon, or a dragon, eating rat? The answer of: I am somewhere in the middle. |
