G3 and hard drives - Technology Questions

G3 and hard drives

I have an oppurtunity to get some G3 350's for fairly cheap, but they
will not have hard drives.

My question is, being not real familiar with Macs, did the G3s use
standard IDE hard drives? If so, what is the maximum size that you
could put in one?
