IMOVIE: Noisy Transitions? Bursts of Noise?

I NEED HELP!!!


I'm making movies in iMovie, and it's near impossible to get a clean
SILENT TRANSITION. If the two clips I'm trying to transition together
have a constant background sound such as talking or music, and I want it
SILENT or to put a DIFFERENT SOUNDTRACK over it... I always get a
BLIP/BURST of NOISE from the original clips at the start/end of the
transitions.

Anyone else experience this? What's a fix for this??????

Nope. I'm editing a wedding video right now, and I use 10 frame
crossfades between each and every transition. Nice and smooth.

You using the latest and greatest iMovie? I'm using veriosn 4.
