web-hosting questions

What are some good web-hosting sites for Mac users?

I already have a domain name.
My immediate intention is to put up an image gallery
consisting of 300+ jpgs (total 75MB).

How much should I pay for 7.5 GB of traffic per month
and who should i pay it to?

I've looked around a little and it doesn't seem
unreasonable to get this for under $10 per month...
am I right?

I'm looking forward to your ideas.

thanks

It depends on what you mean when you say "...for Mac users". I've
hosted my site through www.pair.com for a while, and would recommend
them, and they'll give you what you want for $9.95/month. They run BSD,
which is pretty much the same as your Mac's command line. Dunno if
you'd want that or not, but at least it's not Windows hosting. What do
you have in mind for being Mac-friendly?

Beats me... perhaps at least not anti-mac like so much
of the world.

I'm gonna do it in GoLive and upload it with Transmit.
I just want it to work without hassle.

thanks

Re: web-hosting questions

You already have a comcast account and they allow 150MB of storage and
no limit on traffic. Why not just redirect your domain name there for
free?

Any Web server company at all will do just fine; FTP and HTTP are
universal, and it makes absolutely no difference what kind of computer
you are using.
