Need the Airport Express Setup Assistant

I am having an odd problem that Google seems to suggest nobody else in
the entire world is having.

I have an Airport Extreme basestation and bought a pair of Airport
Express nodes so I can throw speakers in my kitchen and living room and
play music from the laptop. Sounds good, right?

Unfortunately, it appears there is no way to add multiple Express nodes
without the "Airport Express Setup Assistant". The problem is I simply
cannot get ahold of this script! It is not on any of my Macs (10.3 *or*
10.4), and the packages that came on CD with the Express units will not
install because the software currently installed is newer.

I am now running 10.4 on everything, and I am desperate to get ahold of
this stupid file. Cracking open the mpkgs showed me nothing. Googling
reveals hundreds of reviewers talking about how easy the Assistant is to
use, but no links. Evidently everyone else in Macdom somehow magically
got ahold of this thing!

Could someone *please* either tell me how to download this silly thing
or just email me a copy of theirs?

Thanks....

~Chip

I'm reasonablt sure you can configure Express base stations for client
mode using AirPort Admin Utility, which should be in
/Applications/Utilities.

Have you read the various manuals at the Apple site?

This would likely be a good place to look for info:

http://www.apple.com/support/airport/

True, you can, and I was able to do it for one node. However, as far as
I can tell it is simply cannot configure multiples. All the docs I find
simply tell me to use the handy Setup Assistant, which I have no way of
installing.

Yes, I looked over all of the information I could find, particularly on
Apple's support pages. There is nothing helpful there. All the
references to adding multiple Airport Express nodes involve using this
mythical "Airport Setup Assistant" script.

If anyone knows where I can simply download a copy of this silly thing I
would be immensely grateful.

I just looked (10.4) and found it in my /Applications/Utilities folder.
Have you looked there?

Yes, that's the first place I looked-- it is supposed to be right next
to the Airport Setup Assistant.

I don't have it on either my iBook or my desktop system. This is very
frustrating... Any chance you'd be willing to email it to me?

You can download the latest Airport software from Apple; I had thought this
was included in that package. If you haven't tried this, I'd give it a go:

Thanks.... but as I alluded to in the first post, that doesn't work. :(
It won't install because I am already 'up to date'. but I don't think it
contains the Express setup assistant anyway-- I dug into the package,
extracted the Archive.pax.gz file, gunzipped and cpio'd it, and got a
nice tree of files that did *not* include this script (just the regular
Airport setup scripts).

I'm begging now-- can somebody just send me a copy of the silly file
(Airport Express setup assistant)? I'm chip at seraphine.us....
