Memory

I know the type of memory my IMAC G5 needs, can I use any type of 184Pin
400Mhz PC3200 DDR Ram? Or do I need an apple certified ram? Only reason
I ask, is I can get it nearly a hundred pounds cheaper from my local pc
supplier, but he said that apple machines seem to have some problems
accepting non certified ram? Any ideas?

If he means "buy it only from Apple", that's not necessary. I put 512 M
from Crucial into an eMac with no problems. I don't recall whether they
claim to be "Apple certified".

Thanks, I think I'll buy the memory from the shop, with the
understanding of course that if it doesn't work for some reason I will
take it back.
