I would like to open mp3 with other applications instead of itune. 3. Any good mp3 player like winamp in windows? 4. I am using logitech keyboard and the command/option keys swapped... 5. Is there any software can wake up the computer in a specific time? Thank you very much. |

Folders or data files get added to the right-side, programs to the left side. To remove icons from the dock, 'pull' them off. 2. To change the program associated with a data file, locate a file of that type and highlight its icon... hold down the CMD +I keys. (The CMD key is the one with the Apple and cloverleaf icons on an Apple keyboard). You'll see the File Information dialog box... on it, there should be the words OPEN WITH: with a triangle beside them. Click on the triangle to expand that section of the dialogue. You'll see the default, with a list of other known programs that will use that the type of file, and the possibility of browsing to select OTHER... You'll also see a CHANGE ALL... button to change for all files of that type. 3. You may find other programs that play MP3 on the Mac-- I used other programs under older, pre-OSX Mac operating system versions, but personally, I prefer iTunes. 4. There are a number of programs that allow key-mapping... go to a download site such as VersionTracker or download.com and type 'key map Mac' into the search box. I use the free uControl (http://gnufoo.org/ucontrol) to turn off CapsLock-- it also allows mapping the command and option keys. 5. The Energy system preference has a Schedule tab that may do what you want. (This is assuming you're running the current Mac OS X 10.3.x) =============================================== remove 'nospam' when replying |

How to add or remove application for dock? To add an application, or any other item to the Dock, just drag it to the place on the Dock where you want the object to reside. Note that files and folders go on the right side and applications on the left or the divider bar. > 2. How to change to file type association in mac? The "Get Info" panel for any document will have a field in it that lets you choose which application opens up the document. > 3. Any good mp3 player like winamp in windows? iTunes. > 4.
