Can I run Mac OS 9 native on iBook G4?

Morning,

My boss has just got his new iBook, and for various
reasons (Acrobat 5 Create Adobe PDF, Office 2001,
Pagemaker 5) it would be easier if I could just get it to
run Mac OS 9 natively and boot into that.

Is this likely?

TIA,
Al

Nope. If it's a new one, Classic is all you have.

Al,

Depending on the age certain older Macs could dual boot, unfortunately
none of the G4 notebooks can dual boot anymore. As long as your boss
doesn't need software that needs to directly access hardware or you can
get the needed drivers then running in Classic should handle all those
applications OK.
