| Any way to open/translate a MacWrite document? Does anyone know of any way to open or translate a MacWrite document? I just upgraded to MacLink Deluxe 15 because it appeared my MLD 14 wasn't working, only to discover that they had removed MacWrite support eons ago. Any suggestions anyone? -- Verne |

Any program that uses the XTND / Claris translators will have a MacWrite translator. If you have old MacWrite documents, you may well have such a program lying around. m. -- matt neuburg, phd = matt@tidbits.com, http://www.tidbits.com/matt/ AppleScript: The Definitive Guide http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...methingsbymatt Read TidBITS! I have MS Word 5.1 disks (which could do it as I recall), but nothing to read 800K floppies <sigh>. |

| Re: Any way to open/translate a MacWrite document? In a pinch, I've copied the document into Eudora, then sent it to myself. Opened it, copied to Clipboard, then into current word processor. Only works with text material. Also, we use icWord and icExcel to open. -- I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. -- Robert McCloskey, State Department spokesman (attributed) |
