| Help...Hard Drive thinks it's a package I have an extra hard drive that I had a bunch of mp3's on, and not all of them were backed up. All of a sudden OS X has taken it over. When I do a get info on the drive it says it's a package and not a volume. When I try to open it I get the message that it's being used by Mac OS X and cannot be opened. SilverKeeper was the culprit. Any ideas on how to get it back to a volume? Thanks -- |

The extension would be hidden by the Finder, so check it with the terminal application or Finder's "Get Info" window. Remove the .pkg extension and it should be back to normal. -- Walt Sellers Macintosh Programming and Support in Central Florida www.VirtualOutpost.com ws_usenet@virtualoutpost.com - include the keyPhrase "WhoYaGonnaCall?" in the body or subject of the message to get past the spam filters. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= In theory there is no difference between practice and theory, but in practice there is. -unknown =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
